In the face of a global recession, our Conservative government is taking real action and delivering real results for Canadian families.

In January, we brought forward Canada’s Economic Action Plan, which is helping Canadians across the country to deal with the challenges of today, and to be on track for a brighter future tomorrow.

“The mission supports the large, timely, and well-targeted fiscal stimulus in Budget 2009.”

International experts agree that Canada’s Economic Action Plan is the right course to help Canada weather the global economic storm.

Since first being elected, our Conservative government has taken action to pay down billions on Canada’s debt. This action has put us in a good position to afford strong economic stimulus measures. The IMF reports that Canada’s debt-to-gdp ratio dropped from 72.36 in 2004 to a projected 58.45 in 2009.

But the job’s not done yet and we have more work to do. Canadian families and businesses can count on our Conservative government to continue delivering Canada’s Economic Action Plan as we work towards a strong economic recovery.
